My name is Lorraine and I am an artist and photographer based in Galway in the west of Ireland. I create felt paintings using wool and other natural fibres. I really enjoy the process of transferring simple, sustainable materials into vibrant, tactile representations of the hills, meadows, sea and skies that inspire me. I love to blend traditional, age old felting techniques with a contemporary twist using local materials whenever possible.
